Dr. Baroffio's mission is to provide personalized, high-quality care on an as-needed or preventative basis.  We have created a practice that we believe in.  Of utmost importance, is our appreciation for ethical, culturally-sensitive and science-driven practices.

We are a full-service mental health  practice of licensed mental health care providers, professionals providing educational services, and training programs.  We believe in the development of mental and behavioral health skills, protective parenting, and practical skills for effective living.  We utilize empirically validated intervention methods, in working with all people, and with a particular emphasis in working with people who are court-involved and/or court-mandated for intervention.

Our staff is comprised of licensed/registered mental health providers as well as educators/supervisors and office personnel who are not mental health providers:

Dr. Jim Baroffio - Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed School Psychologist, Registrant with the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.  Dr. B specializes in psychodiagnosis and assessment, and program development, with a particular emphasis in child protection.  He also specializes in assessment and intervention with regard to people with developmental disabilities.  He is the Clinical Director for Adaptive Interventions, LLC, a substance abuse evaluation and treatment program with whom he partners with Mr. Kravec in Douglas County.

Mr. Keith Kravec - Parent educator, parenting-time supervision, and recently, he's added counseling to his work, as a Registered Psychotherapist.  An Independent Contractor with the practice Mr. Kravec specializes in parent education and parenting-time supervision, with a particular emphasis on child protection and domestic relations matters, and he is particularly skilled in directive parenting skill development. He offers therapeutic parent education, in addition to individual treatment and evaluation support. He is the Program Manager for Adaptive Interventions, LLC, a partnership with Dr. Baroffio, PC, providing substance abuse evaluation and treatment services.

Dr. Brian Scherzer - Licensed Clinical Psychologist, provides comprehensive psychological evaluation services and psychotherapy.  He is experienced in child protection-focused evaluations, and specializes in the treatment of anxiety and panic disorders, as well as biofeedback, and evaluations for bariatric procedures.  He can be reached at

Ms. Beth Teeters, M.S. - Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, Licensed School Psychologist (Independent Contractor).  Ms. Teeters specializes in family and marital psychotherapy.

Jerimee Smith, MS, LPC, LAC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor, providing comprehensive substance abuse evaluation and treatment services.

Ms. Carlie Baroffio, M.S. - Office Manager, parenting-time supervision (She is not a mental health professional).  Ms. Baroffio has considerable experience in child protection as a caseworker, and in program development as an administrator, and she provides education, training and consultation to families and professionals in the area of developmental disabilities, child/adult placement and support systems, and funding.
